2020 has been...how should we put this? Unexpected.
There has been an ongoing conversation since March about pivoting, about new normals, and about how businesses and individuals around the world are adapting. And Auth0 is an incredible example of exactly that.
When in-person conferences evaporated earlier this year, not only did the company quickly adapt, but Senior Global Conferences Manager, Rebecca Abram adapted as well.
This is a story of resilience and success as Rebecca shares how Auth0 pivoted from live events to podcasting. And just a few episodes in, they're already totally crushing it.
In each episode, we like to highlight the key takeaways from each show. Think of it as a podcast outline or live show notes. Here are just a few of the takeaways that really stood out to us in this episode.
Whether you're looking to appeal to a large audience, or something more niche, it's important to understand who you want to reach with your show and really identify that audience. By honing in on who your listeners are and aligning that with a message that serves them, you find the right people that are going to be intrigued by your podcast. This will enable you to provide them with information that's relevant as well as educational, entertaining, and engaging.
With everything that has been going on this year, live events have all but disappeared. With that, companies who rely on these events as a portion of their marketing strategy are having to find other ways to get their message out. And with so many companies in the same boat, digital channels have become noisier than ever. Podcasts are a great way for brands to cut through that noise and differentiate themselves with quality content by tapping into a channel that they may not have otherwise explored. And not only that, they are finding success.
When the personal connection of live events is off the table, how can you connect with your audience? Sure virtual events and webinars are options, but you lose out on some of that human connection. This is where podcasts come into play. The core of a podcast is conversation, and because of that, it allows your listeners to feel like they're in the room having a conversation with you. Podcasts enable you to create your own platform to share your message in a human way and act as an avenue for your listeners to connect with you when and where it suits them.
Everybody's show and reasons why are a little bit different. So when you're thinking about your podcast, you need to decide how you want to present and produce your show as well as the amount of effort that it will take to do so. By understanding and planning for the level of fidelity you want for you podcast, you can be intentional with how you are putting things together to get the right outcomes for your business.

Welcome to season five of the Casted podcast, where we're focusing exclusively on our own users. Why? Well, because, by becoming Casted customers, it's pretty clear how committed they are, not only to podcasting as a key piece of the future of their marketing efforts, but also to the bigger picture of how these shows fit in to their integrated marketing strategy. They're the most forward- thinking brands that are harnessing the perspectives of experts with podcasts, but they're not stopping there. They're then bringing out those interviews to be amplified across other channels. They're practicing what we preach, and we want you to hear all about what they're doing and why they're doing it, and even better, how you can do it too.
